I took the X out for my walk yesterday because I didn't want to carry much.

I carried a lot back.

LOVE 1 and 4 Godfrey ... Miss 113 embracing Nature :D
something Special about the Lighting and the contrast ... Beautifully captured
what in menu settings are you using re: saturation, contrast, sharpening ??

Thanks, Helen.

My B&W user setting is configured to B&W High Contrast film mode wit Medium Low on both sharpness and contrast; saturation is disabled in B&W film mode. The camera is always set to DNG + JPEG Super Fine as well. I find this B&W setting gives very editable JPEGs, when the JPEG B&W is close to target. In the case of this set of five photos, I re-rendered from the DNG files as they needed a bit more poking at to get what I wanted out of them; the JPEGs were good for visualizing the end product.

Great work, I'm very attracted by the white flowers photo because of the tones and the composition. And I find the wood chips photo even more interesting, not sure why. Just my feeling but photography is also about feeling, or not?
It seems you manage very well to get consistent result from your 113, sure a good camera in the hand of a good photographer!
