Oh, man! Between the photos posted with this lens here and the thread featuring the 10.5cm, I am beginning to develop a wee bit of GAS.
Gettin' a might bit twitchy. Fabulous shots!

A couple from my 8.5cm:
Now the bad news these are on the Leica M8
Amedeo adapter, just as I had unpacked the lens, it came from Vancouver

out of camera jpegs

Okay, that's it.
I have been trolling around looking for a 10.5 cm, but all your shots have sold me on the 8.5.

They are a commitment;
8.5cm 504g
10.5cm 554g
both with hoods, but very rewarding.

If weight is a concern, pay the extra for the black-barrel 8.5cm.
I will have to post some images from mine soon. It's a lot easier lens to carry than the chrome brick!

The good news with the Nikkor 85f2 in chrome is that if you drop it - you worry about the surface it lands on - rather than the lens!

Looking through my scanned Nikkor 85mm f2.0 shots, I found this. It is a large stainless steel sculpture on the beach "Frozen Water #7".
Nikon SP, Nikkor 85mm f2.0 and the much missed EK 5231, Kodak's +X movie stock. Developed in D96 which was Kodak's recommended developer for their movie emulsions.

Wow!
Once again, great new shots posted, but Tom--I be diggin' "Frozen Water #7."
The abstraction goes one step further, almost like some mutated cetacean emerging out of molten steel. It really pops!
