I have owned both and from a distance the silver looks awesome but up close it has a bit of a plastic look about it, therefore I like the black better, IMHO.Now don't take this personally all you black Ikon owners but I think the camera looks very classy in the silver finish and has a presence that it lacks in black!![]()

I know this is a silly question, but how does a black Zeiss Ikon look like with a silver lens?

By the way, has anyone ever colored in their (black) ZI logo? I've laways resisted with other cameras, but ZI looks like it's asking for it
Anyone got photos?

How about black out the "Zeiss" logo, and add an "N" to the front of "Ikon"![]()
I could do that, but I think they should just change their name into "Zeiss Ikonmat".

Thanks Chinasaur.
I bought it used and in the 2 years the previous owner had it, less than 10 rolls have gone through it. It sat most of it's life in the plush case that it came in.
Well in less than 1 hour of me owning it, it was out of its' case, loaded with film and in the forest. haha
Although I haven't develpoed the film yet to see the results, using the camera is an absolute dream.
