it was pretty nice.

i liked the little zoom, the 16-50...definitely plastic but smooth zoom and focus none the less.
for someone like me, who shoots aperture priority exclusively and likes a rear lcd...this would be a fine little kit to throw in a day bag, along with paper work, lunch and misc crap, for some lunch time shooting.

remarkable how small it is...it would be downright tiny with the 27 on it...and for the extra 100 bucks the zoom comes with it in the kit.

thought about selling the x-pro 1 and using this as back up to the x-e1 while waiting for a replacement for the x-pro1...

i almost put it on my credit card.

Yep.. I always thought the xm1 w/ 27 would be a great kit combo.. :D.

Did they let u take some shots w/ it to show the rest of us? ;);)

i never thought to actually shoot with it...i mainly checked out the af speed...which was good.

Well.. Back u go... Just kidding.

Gary

Ps - There is suppose to be another Fuji lens rebate coming up.. But a camera body and get discount on lens, but I would be surprised if xm1 kit is part of that.

how different from our x fujis could the images look?

i like the idea of smaller & lighter...my plan for now is to use the x-pro1 with the 35 for my lunch time kit...all thrown into my citywalker 30 with out the removable insert.

I was referring to the kit zoom.

Yeah same here. Plastic doesn't scare me off as well. I have a nikon fg-20, all plastic body. Cheapest of the nikonos that could do both full manual and aperture priority. Put a 35-70 on it and took it all over the place.

Still have it works fine

I Played with one yesterday.
Body is not as small as I feared. But it feels very light and "cheap".
Same on the kit zoom lens. The 35mm f1.4 is very nice!
Took some quick portrait shots inside the store on my own CF card and opened them at home. Forgot to change the setting to RAW. Straight out off the camera jpg's look amazing!

Played a bit with the X-Pro1 felt better but missed focus 2 out off the 3 shots I took. Image quality appeared to same.

When you guys say the body feels "cheap" are you referring to build quality, material or construction? or all of them?

Its the plastic body. Also the hinge for the screen did not feel solid.

When you look at the camera you think its made out of metal and when you pick it up its plastic. It might have been different if it had looked like plastic as well. But even then it feels very "light" witch might be a good thing for some people...
