Playing old cine lenses on Leica

Fantastic Jean Marc!
Really love the rendering of the Z2! and the S1 with provia looks really cool too!
The Portrait of Juveny with both the 75 focale and 32Kinoptik and the one of Harry with the 50 focale are gorgeous...

Fab (at home and kinda jealous 😉)

Merci Fabien !
Glad you like these 🙂

A 50 mm f2 Kinoptik lens head with a M42 helicoid will not vignet on the Fujifilm GFX50S:

Old lenses are addictive ...

Beautiful, all these lenses ... I dream about having a Kinoptik 50 f/2 ... Painterly.

Great shots, Jean Marc!

Erik.

Thank you Erik !

More with a Kinoptik 50 f2 (on a Leica M10 and the last one on a Sony A7S):

Best , Jean-Marc.

Jean Marc, beautiful this Fulgior 35mm ... but it can't be used for the full frame, can it.

Erik.

Hi Erik, sorry for the very late reply !

the 35 Kinoptik Fulgior 1.3 is a 16mm Cine format lens and will vignet on 24x36 cameras.
I will still vignet on a 24x27 camera and is good fun on a APS-C digital camera.

Best regards, Jean-Marc.

Thanks for this wonderfull page JM. It's one of the most important thread on the Web!! 😉

So sad to ear Juveny's passing...what a nice portrait with the P1.

For my sins I collect movie cameras. I will never buy a body that has been stripped of its lenses. It is great to see these lenses being used again but all I ask is for the camera (which until now has been worth very little) stays with the lens.

Interest in the field, and values, are going up so my advice would be to keep the two together wherever possible.

The last cine camera I used to own and use professionally was a Cameflex 16-35 CM3 . Sold it with its lenses way before entering the rangefinder world .
Guess which lens I gave away with the body ?
A mint Kinoptik Fulgior 50 mm f1.3 ...

My 2 cents, JM

The THC Amotal is not a cine lens but works the light well. The cine lenses have some magic with light and color without being bright or garish. Now I see that 16 mm cine lenses can be adapted to LTM or M39. But which ones/ And what does it cost to adapt them for Leica? Is there a primer somewhere on this? Oh, Lord, stop me before I buy again. ;o)

thanks Erik, Thanks JM (would have love to see that Fulgior)
