This may not have been considered due to it's scarceness, but the 50/3.5 Heliar is the sharpest CV lens that I've used.

I know that you can still purchase them from CQ in Nikon mount, but in M mount they're all but a collector's item now 🙁

This is really meaningless unless you have experience of all the lenses. I voted 35CS because I have it and I wanted to see the voting but I don't know whether it is sharper than other CV lenses or not.

I guess I have to stick with those, don't I? 😱

The 35mm Ultron is the "olive oil", and the 35mm Biogon is the "vodka": The Ultron goes well with those images you'd like to have an "artistic" light fall-off (commonly mistaken for "vignetting"), and is a bit soft wide open, with a propensity to flare (very bright highlights/reflections, strong sources of light). Mid-low contrast. It can muddy up some shadow detail.

The 35mm Biogon is crisp and clean, with a great crisp "punch", not in contrast, but in resolution. Treats light very nicely, cleanly. Will give you a nice slap in the face if you use it for portraits 😉

Hmmm, I've tried and/or owned the 21, 25, 28 Ultron (no 35's...strange!) 40/1.4 SC, (no 50's...even stranger!) 75, and the 90 and none of them were NOT sharp.

The 40 is so good that I sold my Aspherical Summilux 35 and don't want it back, even at the old, pre-M8 price. The 'lux is a 'bit' better, but only wide open and only for a whole lot more weight, size and money.
 
I find my 90/3.5 to be the sharpest of the octet of CV lenses that I own.

Incidentally, the sharpest lens I own is a 60/2.8 Macro lens for my Canon EOS. I find it sharper than even my Leica lenses.

The sharpest CV lens was not listed in the original poll. I just added it, the 50/3.5 Heliar.

Not only is it the sharpest CV lens, it is currently the sharpest lens EVER tested by Popular Photography. Look it up in the March 2002 issue.
