It hasn't come off the camera in several weeks. Some find it heavy.....I don't mind at all.

please excuse a stoopid question: what actual focal length is equivalent to the 50mm with gxr/m-mount?

1.5 crop factor so it's 75mm.
33mm paulfish... which gives you 49.5mm equiv.

so, if an actual 50 is 75, then an actual 35 will be 52.5mm, and an actual 28mm will be 42mm. ok, thanks a bunch. i ponder frequently the possibility/probability of a digital cam with manual focus 50mm equivalent for reasonable cost, using lenses i have. does the gxr have a nikon f-mount module?

the only digital bodies i can actually handle in alabama are sony, nikon and maybe canon.

you can probably buy a nikon f>m mount adapter for the gxr on ebay. popflash photo in california, and on the web, will 'lend' out the gxr for cost of shipping for 7 days. i took advantage of this and was very happy with the results paul. you can see some of my results from different lenses on MF Forum, i think the thread was 'ricoh gxr at the races'.
