Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
1937 Summar at f/6.3. Between f/3.2 and f/9, it's as sharp as a 'cron but with nicer bokeh. I see they're selling for 300 GBP each now with scratches. Mine is unscratched; it was so neglected by previous owners that no-one ever cleaned it, hence no cleaning marks!

Thanks Helen,

I regret I only had 2 roll of 35mm Ilford film with me on the trip.
Here's another with desaturated Lucky 200 Color film run through a cheap negative scanner.

Nice shot, mr Crutcher!

Is it just me, or do those uncoated lenses really look best on film...?

Gotta love those high-qaulity scans too, I wish I had a hi-res scan facility near me...!

Thank you. I agree film is the best. The lab scanned this shot but I get better results from my plustek 7600 and it's very easy. Just a thought.

I'm blown away by the Elmar. I never thought an uncoated lens could produce such results.
Although i've not got much to share at the moment, i'm still playing around with mine.

My good friend Wild Bill (1932)

IIIA (1938) with a 73mm Hektor (1935) wide open. Portra 400 shot at 800. Let's hear it for the 1930's!
