price check - m4-p

Alright, obviously we have a disagreement here. Gentlemen, if you wish to continue your discussion, please do, in private, PM, email, over a cup of coffee. You got to say your piece here, there are members who of course have their opinions one side or the other.

So, now that we agree to disagree I will say it again, it is time to move on.

RFF is not a neighborhood bar were we can shout and argue over anything ad nauseum. When a discussions turn personal, it is they not welcomed.

I have no intention of closing it, but there is no need for continued repeating of each position or public airing of a personal dispute. There is a disagreement, that is fine, but ranting here isn't going to change that.

It should be said that Joerg and Frank's posts were followed by another which I deleted.

Sorry, you probably can't see that.

the M4-2 and the M4- P are great user M Leicas
the fact that some people percieve them to be of
a lesser grade, helps to keep the price low.
I like that.

so, flush windows = zinc top = no self adjustment?

That is correct...

It's incorrect. actually. No M4-P can be adjusted without the special tool, except a very few early M4-Ps (which are using the last M4-2 parts).

all for nought...

the deal is dead!

still have the lla.
should i sell and just look for a cle?

i am fixated on the small cle married to the zm 25.

and there are new plans coming up regularly I see!
The CLE and a small 25 is a great package. Did you try the Canon 25?

Two data points:

I bought an M4-P needing a new skin last year for $400 and I just sold my exc+ M6 for $1100

Well Joe, if you're "fixated" on a CLE but then turn around and say "or maybe a dslr" then I question how sticky is your fixative... ;)

That was a good buy Nick, considering Aki Asahi leather skins are $19.

Yes, The store also had a user M3 for the same price which I didn't buy. If you have patience and have cash, there are deals out there. Usually I have neither :( .
