The only zoom I really felt comfortable using was the Canon 35-70 3.5fd. It was a wonderful lightweight lens I could carry all day. I can certainly see carrying zooms on the newer Fujis & similar cameras nowadays,
Myself, being a film shooter & carrying a simple rf camera or slr I'm most comfortable with a prime 50, 35, or a 28 for landscapes on my slrs.
