Problem with hasselblad 500cm

So I got this 500cm body recently. It has an issue where it will only fire with the shutter button IF I use the pre release first. Without pressing the pre release the shutter does not fire. This is not my first hasselblad, so dark slide is out, lens and back have been mounted properly, and the shutter luck is at O. With the back removed, I can fire the shutter using the technique above with the pre release on, and I need to press the small tab at the back to wins it again. Does this mean CLA time or am I doing something wrong?
