I have quite a few rolls of Ilford Delta 3200. Instead of buying more film. I was going to pull them to say ASA 400 or ASA 800. I will soup them in Ilford DDX. Has anyone got examples or encouraging words? And yes, I am being cheap and not buying film at the moment.

Rate @ ISO 1000 or 1250, in my experience that work best with DDX

Spot on IMO. 1000-1250 is its real speed in Xtol/DdX. maybe in perceptol it would drop to 800 or so, but I would not pull it as it is already a low contrast film.

400 film will produce much higher quality images at 400 IMO.

I'd agree with the others, with regard to not pulling too much.

My normal procedure is to shoot it @1600, which is actually a push, if you trust the "unofficial" rating of 1000ASA for the emulsion.

I can't say I've ever developed D3200 myself, but I believe my local lab usually souped it in Xtol.

and yes, I develop it for roughly 3200 times at 1000 otherwise it comes out flat as a pancake at the Ilford times.
