Of the 4 models out EP1, EP2, EPL1, and EPL2, which one or ones have the best in-body image stabilization for use with a long nikon MF lens attached?

Ted, I'd bet my lunch money that they are all identical in practical, real life performance.

The above is handheld in low-light (dusk), OM 135mm/2.8 Zuiko using the in-body IS.

Thanks. You could be right. I do recall reading something about some models having a bit more, 1/2 stop or something. Nice photo!

As far as I know the E-P1 and E-P2 have more advanced IS with 4 stop advantage. E-PL1 and E-PL2 are claimed to have 3 stop IS.

Thanks

Thanks

I'm wondering if anyone who's used both, can verify that the EP1 and EP2 have the extra stop (or even 1/2 stop) of IS over the EPL versions, in actual use.

I haven't tried E-P1 or E-P2. Attached picture is 100% crop, done with my E-PL1 and Zuiko 70-300 @ 300mm via the Oly adapter. The subjects are about 60 m away and the shutter speed is 1/350. I forgot to mention that I did it handholding and I have quite steady hands.

The e-pX has the better IS. They claim 4 or so stops but in real life it's more like around 1.5-2 stops. The e-plX have claimed less IS but I'm not sure how they fair in real life. Probably 1/2 stop less...
