Do the framelines on Leica M's (thinking m6/m6ttl, cause it's what I want to purchase.) Shift with focus distance? I know some other rangefinder cameras do, but I am unsure about leica, and figured the best place to ask is here.. rather than google.

The framelines move around to account for parallax, but they do not change in size—so at infinity a negative will have more showing than was showing within the framelines; and close up will have about the same as was showing within the framelines.

oh okay, its just the shift that I was really wondering about. So they shift, but don't change size. Alright. I really need to get my hands on one for a day or so.. at least run a roll through.

Most medium-format rangefinders (Fuji, Plaubel etc.) do by the way adjust for field of view.
I never understood why 35mm rangefinders don't have this feature. but maybe it would be to complicated given the amount of frame lines for different focal lengths.
