Ah, great , good news !!! :D Did not expect it so soon !! :)

Ordered my first one at Lulu a minute ago, shipping to Germany is almost 50 % of the book price, but who cares ?!

A huge, warm "THANK YOU !! " to the RFF book No 2 team, you've done a perfect job, folks ! And you've done it fast !!

From what reason ever ( maybe I did not listen again, my wife knows that prob very well ;) ) I still don't know who was in the team and who did which work to make this great project run. It would be nice to learn the names of the members who have spent a lot of their off time to get the boat floating ! Just to make the applause a bit more personal.

I hope, those of the RFF members who are members at LUG and CVUG too will do a bit promotion for this book in these forums ?

And I know that some UK members have a good connection to the AP magazine...
In general it could help sell the book outside of our crowd to make it known to the national photo magazines in Europe too ? A national "RFF territory manager" for each country ?
Just an idea...

Best regards,
bertram

I've orderd mine and shipping here to France is free (due to previous ordering I guess) 3-5 days printing + 10 business days shipping. It definetely worth the wait!!!

Bravo again for the team commitment on this project.

Thanks to all the people working behind the scenes to make this book happen! I'll be ordering my copy shortly along with the 1st book and a couple of other interesting (photography) books that I saw on Lulu.com.

Regards,

Since I posted to joe's thread - just a quick note to say Thanks to Brett, Rover et. al. Mine is on order.

arrrgh... sorry, Randy! we tried really hard to catch everything.. a difficult task, given the number of people included and the differences in nationalities.. also the fact that we were going by real names rather than user IDs made it even harder to confirm everything

even with 4 pairs of eyes viewing it, we know some things will slip through

No problem, Brett. I'm sure there were a million little things you guys had to do to put everything together. Things of which the rest of us have no conception.

And, as I should have conveyed in my previous comment, I really appreciate all the hard work you guys put forth to produce this book. On behalf of myself and all the other rff members, thank you very much!

where can I find the list of poeple who are in the book?

Buy the book! ;)

Seriously, all I could provide right now is a list of the actual names, not rff names.

Excellent! I am very excited. I am one of the 100 in the book, so I bought three -- one for me, one for my sister, and one for my parents. So that will hopefully boost the ranking a notch or two! But I want to thank all the guys for the hard work in putting it together. So many of us just prepared our files and then sent them on their way and then it moved to the back of our heads. It is really nice of you guys who put it together to take the time for us.

I replied thanking all and sundry in the other thread.
Just ordered the book. Free shiping to yay!!
Can't wait to receive it. :D
Thanks to all again!
Nick

Gratitude.

Gratitude.

This is absolutely fantastic, and a tribute to the hard work of some dedicated people. Thank you, thank you for putting this together, and for allowing me to participate.

My copy should be on its way soon. And so should my harassing emails to friends and family. Bravo.

Cheers,
--joe.

Are there any female members represented in either book?

Yes, in both. Although, not many. Off the top of my head, I can think of two for 'A Gathering', Denise (dmr) and Lynn (lynn).

:)

I saw something on the LuLu site about getting things listed on Amazon....

Did you guys get a chance to preview the print quality before finalizing? It might be fun to make coffee table books of my own work, but I'm afraid I'll not like the prints.

Thank you, RayPA. I wasn't aware of that, but then, I am able to spend very little time on RFF.

we have the first book to go by and by most accounts people were pleased with the end product.

yeah, the first book is the best indicator

basically, the books are printed on a color copier.. a Xerox Docutech laser printer.. so the photo quality is good, but not quite what you'll get off a 4 or 6-color press, or even an inkjet printer designed principally to print photos.. and you have to take into account that the paper they print on isn't glossy stuff like magazines use.. so it's a compromise.. on the other hand, it's extremely easy to get your work printed, and the cost is as cheap as you'll find anywhere.. no setup cost and no minimum order.. you can have your book printed and only have to buy 1 copy for roughly the same price as a box of business cards

Many thanks to the guys who did all the hard work in putting the book together... Taking the pictures was the easy part. ;)
