Hi!
I am looking forward to buy a Leica M-System some time, but wanted to test different bodies before clearing my bank account so I can figure out what body and lenses to buy.
I am particularely looking for the M6 Body, and a 35 and a 50 mm lens would be also very interesting for me!
So does anybody know where to rent a Leica somewhere in Europe or even Austria (we have a the "Leica-Shop" here, but it's like 5% of the selling price a day I think, so for example renting a M6 plus Noctilux would result in a day-rent of 200 Euro, which is about 300 usd, that would totally break the bank 🙂 especially if I can only play a day with it 🙂
Or does anybody have an old Leica body sitting on a shelf, collecting dust and would rent it out with a lens or two for a resonable price for a weekend or so? (preferably around middle Europe)
It's really hard to decide on such an expensive thing, and playing around in a shop with a guy watching over your back isn't really good too.
PS: I own a lot of medium format cameras myself and am a studying director of photography in the motion picture industry, so I would know how to handle worthy equipment 😉
Thanks for any answers and reading, regards from Vienna, Xax
