Replacement for FM2 mirror foam ?

Hi everybody!

I got a FM2 which needs new mirror foam and probably light seals too. Anyone has experience with any commercial or self-made replacement?

John Goodman's kits are excellent. Check for ebay seller "Interslice". John's a member here, I think.

I'll second that recommendation. Not only are his kits excellent quality and value (I've done four cameras so far from one kit, and I still have plenty of material left over), but Mr Goodman is always ready and willing to offer guidance on how to work on your camera.

Use only the foam he specifies for mirrors! Follow his instructions carefully and replace ALL the foam seals. See http://www.kyphoto.com/classics/seal/Nikon_FM_FE.pdf.

Jon has always been very personable, and seems to definitely be the "foam" king. ;-)

He should be getting a surprise shipment and new challenge from me this week.
