I inherited a Kodak Retina ll camera that my brother purchased while he was in Germany flying the "Berlin Air Lift" in 1948-49.
I hope someone can give me some information about this camera.
S/N: in inside back cover 254316
Lens: Schnelder-Kreuznach Retina-Xenon f: 2/50 mm s/n 217002
When the lens focus ring is set to 1m on the side of the ring #4790066 and at the bottom of the ring stamped in is X2.
In the bottom of the case cover what looks like a decal with what might be a castle in red with the word "Franhonia" and large letters ADK.
The camera doesn't have a flash contact at the 7 oclock position.
I through that all camera made in this time period would have had a flash contact, if not I guess I can't use this camera indoors.
The camera is in first rate condition and every thing looks and works great.
The only thing is the case does show some wear.

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a Retina II type 011. This one did not have flash sync..

Does anyone know were I might be able to buy a case for my Retina ll, as the front cover is falling apart were it folds up to close the case.
Thanks
