Hey Andrew, we can have a scouting mission or two before May let's keep this in mind.

I'm not so hot on the South American food though - I was thinking more along the lines of eels, pie and mash (perhaps without the eels).

I heard that was an urban myth & that the pub was named after a local cutlery firm that used ivory for the handles, the Elephant & Castle being stamped on their goods as a logo. Who knows?
regards, Jonathan

Ok for those looking for some place to stay I can offer a bed and for travel.
From Bedford to London it takes an 45 Min on a fast train, to St Pancras, there is a slow train that goes to London Bridge etc but it Takes forever and is poor. A return to London costs £12 (with card) each its about £6 more to get a travel card but its better to get a bus pass in London, I travel free on buses and prefer to see where Im going. I use traveline.org to get bus routes etc although in London you can get them off TFL website.
Also if you want to stay a bit longer we are a short bus ride (1hr) from Cambridge.
If you take the Eurostar you only have to change platform, If you fly try to go to Luton as it is on our line too, Stanstead is a pita to get to.

I'm always up for a scout around...though the Eels should stay in the muddy water where they belong, tried them and damn near barfed for the rest of the day:eek:

Add me to the list, Been looking at these meets for ages on here, but it's hard to get away from work commitments, but London is perfect for me...

Again, Borough Market and the South Bank are great venue ideas, and based on my experiences working up there with shoots etc, security are very cool as long as your not openly causing a problem.

Add me to the list and if I can help by chucking in ideas, places, good hotels if people need them, I'll raid my phone lists and help all I can.

Ok Simon, apparently it's the pub!

Kully, I think we should set out on a fact-finding mission, starting in a pub. Perhaps we can get an official RFF grant to help us.

I have just a couple of weekends free before the meet:

19/20 & 26/27 February. I'll be popping in to London for a wander and a gawk, ping me a message if you want to meet.

Let's have some ideas for possible areas to be investigated (keep in mind I don't have a stab vest).

cheers,
kully
