Sounds like there will be quite a turnout. I'm interested in meeting up as well especially as that weekend will be just after my University term ends.
See you guys then.

8, Canada Square![]()
Surely 1 Canada Square (Canary Wharf) is more interesting? Or 30 St Mary Axe (the Gherkin), or the Shard in progress, which has already become the tallest building in the UK.

If we wait until next year then we'll have 'The Shard' off London Bridge instead...depending on the 'brickies'
EDIT: Doh!! Pays to read the entire post first

As I'm now in Paris, London seems very doable for me (and oh the irony).
Maybe next year it'll be in, oh, say...Prague?

Ah, either you plan to wind up the security guards, or you are the owner of HSBC!

Well-known
My suggestion for an 'off the beaten track' excursion would be a walk along the river in Hammersmith, on the west side of central London. A very tranquil scene - usually - and when the weather is good there are lots of interesting people out walking and drinking at the riverside pubs. As an added bonus, it also includes the Fuller's brewery - Britain's finest brewers of real beer - who also supply many of the local pubs.
I live in London: I've had enough urban grime!

Hey ade-oh, that is a nice walk, havn't been down there for years.... I'll pop down there next weekend and see if it isn't too tranquil - it wouldn't do for people coming to London to think it was too nice.

Hello.
I finally have a couple of weekends free and want to make the most of them and get out with my camera. I'll be trotting, prancing and snapping around some of the suggestions we've had and some places I've had an eye on for the meet in May. If anyone wants to come along and, perhaps, have a beer along the way - ping me a PM.
