RIP Tom A

Oh my... I had no idea but just saw Helen Hill's post over on Flickr. This is such a shock and a loss! My deepest condolences to Tuuliki, the rest of Tom's family and all his friends. He was so very generous in sharing his knowledge and insights. Though I never met him in person I benefited enormously from what he shared on RFF. A true gentleman, who will be deeply missed.

Oh no, RIP and sincerest condolences, especially to Tuulikki.

I've met Tom often, and tried to meet always when I visited Vancouver. And even collaborated with him, on the Nikon RF f1.1 lens hood.

The RF community as lost a great man.

What a sad beginning of 2017.... I'm shocked.
Getting comments on some of my flickr pics from Tom made me very proud because his knowledge and background in photography is hard to beat. His spirit and soul will live by his comments and of course photographs, in this case an advantage of the net. RIP.

So very sad to hear. Tom was a kind gentleman and a beautiful soul.

He will be missed.

Condolences to his family and those close to him.

RIP Tom.

The procession of mourners here leaving their last notes is in itself a solemn continuous testimony to a great soul. How I wish I had been part of Tom's rangefinder renaissance since RFF originated. But in any case his salon, I mean this one, has been a haven of shared knowledge, the sort of atmosphere that makes the world more intimate, friendly and welcoming. God bless him and keep him as a light for the rest of us.

This is so sad. My condolences to his family. Thanks for all the contribution to RFF community, Tom. I have learnt a lot from your posts.

I didn't know Tom but never the less this is sad news indeed. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to Toms family.

My condolences.

I never knew Tom personally, but I got to know a little of him over the years as I read through his contributions. It's comforting to know his knowledge and spirit lives on in these pages.

I'll remember Tom every time I press my (his) soft release.

Very sad to read this news today. I always enjoyed reading Tom's posts here sharing his wisdom and knowledge and checking his photo's on Flickr when considering a lens.
RIP Tom!

I am very sad to hear of this ... he seemed such a wonderful guy, with so much knowledge to share.

Rest in peace, Tom!

Condolences, I just loved all his crazy (really not so crazy) concoctions for developers, films, etc. You always learned sometime from his posts. Great guy.

Rest in peace, Tom. The genuine good will and humor you've brought to this community have enriched my life. I appreciate all you've taught by your example of how a life can be well-lived.

Thank you.
