Whats with the run of M6s for sale in the classifieds the last couple of days?I was thinking of putting my mint condition M6 0.85 up for sale but I think Ill wait till the rush dies down a bit.

I'm selling my unique one on evil bay and in the classifieds. Maybe because 3 major manufactures came out with full-frame digital at half the price of the M8.2 and they're able to afford them if the sell the leica stuff?

Maybe this is a conspiracy to collect all M6's now and then resell them for $5000 each later on.

This is getting depressing.Do I keep it or do I sell it before the market drops out. This is as bad as the stock market.

Highest production Leica M ever?

Actually, no. M6 classic production was about 130,000 units with approximately 60,000 M6TTL cameras produced.

There were ~230,000 M3s produced (the highest production M).

As to the question, I think it has been answered already. More users are moving to digital and selling off their film cameras. Leica M film cameras are becoming a thing for collectors - and the M6 is not a collectable.
