scanner dilemma

I've just started shooting film again.

I started with an ancient Leica and, in a moment of weakness, ordered an RZ outfit on ebay (should arrive any day!).

Last week I purchased a Plustek 7600 from B&H - it seems to do a good job BUT is, of course, limited to 35mm.

I -have- an Epson Perfection 3200, which I've used in the past for 4x5 and medium format.

So here's the dilemma:

Should I return the Plustek (I think they'll take it back) and get a V700? (and ditch the 3200 on ebay)

OR

Should I keep get a betterscanning ANR holder for the 3200 and call it good?

I'm using VueScan for both - if that helps.

Thanks!

The V700 is Not great for 35mm negatives. It seems to be pretty ok for slides if the slides are in good condition and exposed correctly. Don't expect magic though. For medium format and 4x5 the V700 has been really great for me. I use Epsonscan at this point and it's the easiest to run and goes smoothly. Doing batches of (135) 24 negs or 16 mounted slides at a time is nice.

If you scan primarily 35mm negative film and need high quality scans for use in printing, stay the course on a dedicated scanner.
If you are like me and want an all around scan for "preview" in 35mm and, the ability to make printable scans in MF and Large format the V700 will be great.

Medium Format/Large Format = Epson, 35 mm requires dedicated scanner for best results. What will you shoot more ? Answer this and the dilemma will go away.
