September: Month for Selling Equipment

i am sort of late for this thread; selling is a great idea!

i kept thinking of letting go of my CL... it's very nice and very pocketable with the summicron c, but the bigger M got finder that i can "mentally' envisioning a pic somehow easier

sitting aside also, a Walz Envoy 35, there is a crack in one of the viewfinder optics, but focusing is fine

let's see...
 
Hmm, when I was looking for an XA, I couldn't find one at a reasonable price but since I had decided to forget about it, Raid starts this thread and there are 5 or 6 that are maybe coming up in September...well, my PM box is mostly empty folks and I do want one. :D
And there are a few other things people have mentioned that might get my interest. Have to go away fro a little while and think about what I've noticed here tonight.

I don't have anything right now I need/want to part with but I did win some boxes of assorted camera stuff--one or two things in each of those that I wanted, the rest will be surplus to me--and some of that will likely end up on offer here at RFF. In the appropriate place when I see just what I got.

I've also emptied my PM box. Looks like the only thing I'll have up for sale, though, is the Canonet 28. Unless someone wants a working Argus C3 "Brick", anyway. And, interestingly enough, slow speeds seem to be half-decent on this Argus...

Oh, and as soon as I can get up the money for the difference between the two, I'm going to put up my Dual Scan III for sale so that I can get a Canoscan 8400F. Thanks a lot Frank. :p

Sometimes planning to sell gear can be even more exciting than planning what to buy.

a month (every year) for getting rid of stuff is a great idea! There's too much extra stuff around here. But I don't have any high hopes for getting anything out the door. Probably the reverse. What's on my sell list, then? Uhm, let's see:

non-RF:
Nikon F2 Photomic, CLA'd body and meter (a 50/2 and a 105/2.5 lens)
Nikon F3/MD4 (a 28/2.8 lens)
Rolleicord II and IV (filters and ERC)
Kodak Retina Ia and a 117 (a bunch of filters)
Zeiss Ikon Tenax (prewar non-RF 24x24mm, with a very nice ERC)

Leica M4 (a trade for a LTM Leica would be good)

Been thinking I could do well with the Leica IIIf, Pentax Spotmatic, Rolleicord Vb and my 5x7. Some film and paper, and I am set. But as I said, I don't have any high hopes... ;)

I have an Mamiya 6 with 75mm from KEH that hasn't been used for a year. Body in KEH EX and lens EX+. Don't know how much to ask for yet but 75% of what I paid would be nice.

Rob: Don't wait until September to contact any prospective seller about your wish for an XA. That'swhy we have "pm". :)

Such an online RFF rummage sale can be lots of fun.

I've started talking with some one already about the XA. :)D ) I needed to wait a breif while so I have some $ to spend. And I'm looking critically at my stuff to see what I can live without...I suspect it'll be a short list--I do love the gear.

My Canonet may be gone, my scanner may very well be history, and I've decided to keep the Ansco to compliment my new 6x9 folder. I still have one camera that I'd like to get rid of: a Yashica MG-1. The one without the battery that I'm not sure works or not. If you want to pay shipping and take a chance, you can have this one for free. I'm just trying to clean house of stuff that doesn't see use.

Roland, how does the Canon 1.5 compare to, say, the Jupiter-3? I love my J-3, but I'm getting to the point where I'd like to put Canon back on my Canon again...
 
I'm trying to decide between that one or breaking down and finding a 50/1.9 collapsible for Christmas for myself. I like the idea of the collapsible, but I'm worried that I'm going to be a moron and forget to un-collapse the thing! :D
