September: Month for Selling Equipment

I have some stuff I would like to sell\trade but it's mostly odds and ends and noone wants it.

both with caps and never ready cases

m42 generic brand 135/2.8
m42 x2 vivitar teleconverter
m42 pentacon auto 50/1.8 lens
extension tube set
m49 filters:red,yellow green.polarizer,UV.

I needed the 10D but now I don't so off it went. I now need a Leica again or is that want (Burrp......... oh sorry I have GAS)

I have 2 CL's and 3 lenses also. (CL 40 and 90, 50 Hexanon) Maybe we both need another CL?

I'm thinking of selling the more User CL to fund a Luigi case purchase. Can't have a naked CL lying around...

A Kiev 4A and a Kiev 4AM & matching lenses and finders
An original Lieca bag that M Classic based theirs on

Course, I don't really want to sell any of it...
 
Maybe we can start up something: The Official RFF Trading Co. No one needs to sell their equipment...we can just trade it all amongst ourselves. No more GAS! :D
 
This thread is like a double-edged knife; you need to buy and to sell to make it work. I was just trying to avoid having my "sales list" being moved to the classified by a moderator. Maybe it ends up as a gigantic swap session (please keep it clean).

I actually think that one of the things that makes this place great is that there IS an active trade market going on here. We don't just buy and sell...we trade things amongst the group. I think that the Ansco I have has gone through at least two different people (that I know about, anyway) and that makes me more interested in trading it to someone else here than selling it.

i just got my second cl half case from luigi today. this time i tried one his wrist straps also. very nice!
my cl compliment is cv 21 and 40/1.4 and the minolta 90 in the bag most of the tiime.

as for selling...i have nothing, but maybe that zm 50/2 so i can get the zm 50/1.5...maybe.

For me, the selling month was/is august...

Sold:
bodies-M4-p, IIIf, IIIb, Zorki6, M6, MP, Kiev88CM, R6
lenses-LTM 90/4, 135.4.5, J-8, 5 Lenses for the Kiev, 3 lenses for the R6

all this and some misc. items, some of this was user gear, some was deals I got and turned around.

What am i left with?
a damn nice setup with only a few redundancies. I feel soooo much better!:eek:

and may have made enough for an M8. :eek: OH, somebody stop me!

I still love to have an ebay auction going but really I just wanna go somewhere interesting and shoot some people in afternoon light.

My thought now is to designate September for selling off a few camera items. Needless to say that some people here have to be buyers or else there will be no sales.

I will in the coming days screen what I have to see what can be sold off here. If things don't sell here, we have to go to evil-bay.

What come to my mind is these items:

1. Olympus XA.
2. Canon 85mm/1.9 with all shiny metal adapters and hood.
3. Canon 135mm/3.5 with leather case and Canon finder.
4. Konica S2


This will do for my first comittment.

On my quest to get a digital RF I will be selling my Leica M6ttl 0.85vf... and probably some more stuff...
 
I'll also have tax money, too, and regardless of my financial woes I always reserve that for spending on something I like. In fact, I may sell the stuff and keep the money from it until March/April of next year...and then get the Bessa R2M. I've wanted one since they were announced...I just wish I could get the set with the Heliar, but that isn't in the cards since there won't be any left by that time. =P

But anyway, I'm going to keep it until I stop working at the game store. I love video games and adore my PSP because it's becoming more of a PDA than a game system, but it isn't something I really need. And camera equipment doesn't lose its value as fast either.
 
I may also have to sell a clean Summaron 35mm/3.5 and a Contarex 180mm lens. The listkeeps on growing. By the time we hit September, who knows what will happen!

Frank gave me the idea to sell my beautiful Summicron 40mm lens. If he won't keep his, I won't keep mine.

What is this [RFF] world coming toif we all sell our stuff?

I am torn between a Bessa R2M and a Leica M6. The Bessa will go down in value faster than the Leica. Plus, it never will be a classic.
