What do you think of the Serenar 50mm f1.9?
Is it comparable to the leitz sumar or summitar?
Do you have any examples?

I had one several years back. A typical 1950's Gauss design. A bit soft wide-open, but sharpens up nicely at F2.8. By F4 - F5.6, a stellar performer.

02Pilot here on RFF has a very nice overview of the Canon Serenar 50mm f/1.9 Collapsible, along with two in depth posts for color and monochrome.
There's also a thread here with some more examples.

I prefer the better preforming f1.8 lens from Canon.

The 50mm Canon f1.8 is an excellent lens but I still want to get one of the 50mm f1.9's for something more compact on my Canon IVSB2. I have the 50mm f1.8, the 28mm f3.5 and the 100mm f3.5 Canon. All wonderful lens's. Joe

I have a 50/1.9 Serenar which I find is excellent. I've got a nice clean sample that shows high contrast and is sharp for a lens of that time, and appropriate for LTM cameras. At f2.8:
