Another set for Nikon Rf Month, my two wide Heliars in Nikon F mount. Adapts well to the S2 with the Voigtlander F-S adapter. Uncoupled - but with either 12 or 15 mm focal length - the depth of field is more than enough to cover up mistakes.
Shot with my Sony A7, Metabone F adapter and the incomparable Zeiss ZF Macro Planar 50mm f2.0

Everytime I see this setup I think how unergonomic they look - all those square edges and so forth. But I never the less love the look. All hard technical function that matches the camera with little concession to the human using it. Beautiful in the way that a Landrover Mark 1 or a Webley revolver are beautiful. That is beautiful in an ugly way. 😀

you would be surprised how good the ergonomics of the F36 are in reality.
I think the hand/brain better gets used to simple shapes and clear controls than to curved, smooth designs.
To me also beauty comes with full simple functionality.

One famous quote I love: Thechnical Perfection is attained not when everything has been added but when most have been removed !

This was my Grandfather Murphy's camera

Dear Board,

It still works just fine even after he spent decades documenting the life and times of his children and grandchildren.

I was given it by my Nana when my Grandfather passed away 30 years ago in January of 1989. I used it regularly early on, but opted to move to autofocus when it became the rage in the early 1990s.

I had the camera refurbished in the early 2000's and had the lens CLA'ed 3 years ago.

I truly do need to use it more.
