Did I already say I shouldn't have sold that kit, Rick?

I could sell it back to you, but they don't become cheaper with age

Great couple Rick. I Would love to have a MOOLY for under my IIIb, but they aren't cheap.
And about the "0" on the lens mount, both my IIIb's are 1939, the oldest (nr. 317075) has that as well, but the later (nr. 336300) not. What's the number of yours?

Interesting, I thought the "0" mark was purely for the Barnacks from the early 1930s to indicate they were standardized instead of matched to a lens.
The slow speeds on my IIIb are a little erratic and the Summar had a disgustingly large condensation drying mark behind the second element in the front group. The Summar has been cleaned and is currently being tested on one of my Leica IIIc cameras.
I still need the external linkage arm for the MOOLY to work properly.
Probably need to fabricate something myself.
Helen, aren't they just! I can't stop buying them

My all-time favourite setup, a 1939 IIIa with a 35mm f/2.5. This is perfect for my work-related travel - it fits easily in my briefcase, laptop bag, carry-on, etc.

Nice, wjj3. I have a 21 SA and the same viewfinder as you have there and was just recently thinking about acquiring a If body just for this configuration. Looks very compact… no need for a RF, really.

Very cool! I like the chrome filter ring... is that custom?

Thank you! Yeah, so far haven't found a need for a rangefinder with the 21/4. One thing I like about this lens is 0.5m close focus, and a that distance you just stick your arm out to measure

Thanks! The chrome filter ring is a Marumi brand filter

...one of my favorite configurations.
And every time I use any of the bright line finders, perhaps especially the 35mm SBLOO, I am so glad I have them. I have a couple of the multi-finders and I'd just rather take 1 or 2 cameras out with me, each with its own lens and separate finder. No changing, no fiddling...

I've had the Canon 50/1.5 Sonnar-type on my Bessa R for about 10 years. I've only recently tried using the lens on my Leica II. It's fun combo.
