Hello,

when I just wanted to load my M4 with a fresh roll of film and wanted to cock the shutter and shoot the free frames before putting it 0 and be able to move along, the shutter immediately fired after cocking it. I moved the shutter lever to the right as if to transport the film one frame and when it was on the end the shutter fired without putting the shutter fire knob. 😱

Do I have a broken camera now? What to do to solve this problem?

Thanks for the sympathy.

There was something wrong after I put the rewind-activating lever on the front (the one with the R) on rewind and moved then the film-transport roll (the one with the teeth inside) in order to get the film tensioned.
After I did this the shutter immediately fired after cocking.

But I could fix it then. No clue how, but it worked with the R-lever again somehow.

I'm still a beginner it seems. 😉
