Sigma DP2 Merrill color photos, please!

I love seeing the Foveon sensors pushed to their limits, even if the result isn't as "perfect" what we'd see out of a bayer cmos camera. The results are special, like this one--it looks filmic and digital at the same time to me (unlike bayer cmos photos which just always look kind of digital-meh no matter what).

It's a shame these cameras are so hard to shoot as street cameras. Just give us a fully manual fixed lens without any autofocus at all. There you go, basically a perfect camera.

I've been curious about the dp2m for a while now and have been reading around online (not always the best idea) for me it would be almost entirely for people shots, but I've read about colour blotching with skin tones in a few places.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or to the contrary?

If it's an issue in regular use, obviously it makes the camera a non starter for me, but I don't know if it's realistically a problem or just internet grumbling

Dp3M in Vivid mode. PP was -0.8 sharpness, +1 fill in SPP then Auto levels in LR and +25 sharpening. I'm not really sure what I'm doing with workflow yet - this is a first go. I am pretty impressed by this wee beastie.

oh - the ship aground is the Lady Elizabeth in Stanley, Falkland Islands.

....and after posting...this looks over sharpened in the RFF browser, and only a bit better on Flickr...hmmnn- I'd really appreciate suggestions with regard to settings others use for Dp merrill files.
