Hi there,

My gallery on the Taoist Festival has a password and it is seance. The gallery is at www.pbase.com/kepha/tangki

Regards,
Peter

Very nice Peter! A very good documentary of the rituals. I wished some photos were framed a little tighter, but that's nit-picking on a good series.

How did you get permission to shoot? Is there a reason you password protect the pics?

Thanks Chua! I had the permission to shoot through a friend and the photos on the PBase was given a password only after it was linked to a Taoist website and the shrine somehow got sensitive and requested it to be locked.

Hi people, just wanna consult you guys. Anyone had experience with electro gx? I have a yashica electro gsn and it fires w/o a battery at 1/500 shutter. However, the electro gx i just picked up (for $14 at cash convertors =) ) would not fire w/o a battery. Is that normal? Other than that, with batteries, everything works fine. Len's and v/f req some cleaning though..

Probably best to post the Q on the Yashica thread, lots of tech heads there. Must've been a nice feeling finding that at Cash Converters. I'm still hopeful of living out my fantasy of walking into a Cash Converter store and finding a M3 for $76, with a 35 summicron attached of course.

Sweet dreams are made of this! 😛

dryonks

bubbles and dirt never troubled the russians... it was the vodka that was doing the damage!
I really like to softness of the Jupiter lens. but I feel abit pai seh to put the J8 on the leica leh.
The only (big) problem I have with the J8 is that it flares alot. And I mean alot. There are some occasions when light from a nearby window just causes the whole frame to be fogged up.

i wonder if it is because I got the older chrome lenses, maybe the newer black ones are better.

Hi people, I've been shooting kodak gold all this while 'cause from what i've asked, film like provia or velvia have quite steep pricing. Anywhere to get cheap film?

Bulk rolled film can cost 30-40% less. If you don't want to go that way, there are probably some guys on CS who offer their rolled film for sale at lower prices. Of course there is a low probabilty that the film may be scratched in the rolling process etc...

Another source is to look for expired film which have been stored properly (refridgerated), those come at tremendous savings. I recently purchased 10 rolls of near expiry Fuji Press 800 for less than $4/ roll, CP sells them for $8.50!

Do you want to tell us a bit about yourself, like what equipment you use and the type of photography you like? 🙂

Hello atelier7! Are you studying or working there? I was studying in USYD from 2000 to 2001. 🙂
