This is the side of one of the buildings at the Pepsi distribution center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The local Pepsi distributor also handles Dr. Pepper products.
The Pepsi warehouse complex occupies a huge block of land in the Wells Street area, just north of Downtown Fort Wayne. This building is on Harrison Street, between First Street and Second Street.

One of the vacant buildings at Centlivre Village Apartments in Fort Wayne, Indiana. These were built 50 years ago as luxury apartments; but I have always thought that they had a cold 'institutional' feel to them, like a government housing project.

Thanks. I had wanted to photograph that building for a long time, and finally got there on a day with the right light. The color and composition are very formalist!

True. Looks a lot like some of the buildings in (then) US occupied Germany where the US Forces' senior officers and their families were living (some do actually still live there).

I didn't think about military housing, but you're right, they do look like that. I was originally thinking of the housing projects the government built to house the poor in the 1950s and 1960s. They're very plain, utilitarian housing blocks, usually built of brick.

The Trailer Park at the End Of The Rainbow
This small trailer park is across the street from my house. A couple weeks ago, this double rainbow appeared in the sky after the rain stopped. I had enough time to run across the street to photograph it before it disappeared.

This armless woman is actually a mannequin! She stands in front of Wells Street Variety Store, a secondhand shop in the old brick storefront on the corner of Wells Street and Archer Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
When I photographed this building six years earlier, it was home to another secondhand shop, called "Packrat's Mini Flea Market."
I made this photograph yesterday morning.

This barn is on the west side of Leo Road (State Road 1), just north of Lochner Road, on the northern edge of the small town of Leo-Cedarville in rural Allen County, Indiana.
A perfect symbol of rural Indiana: Agriculture, Religion, and Basketball.

This house is on Williams Street, between Webster Street and Harrison Street, on the south side of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I thought the "Hoosier Country" sign, which refers to Indiana University, looked funny hanging above the Virgin Mary.

I photographed this field at dawn, before the sun had appeared above the horizon. It is on north side of County Road 146, between County Road 37 and County Road 137, in rural Elkhart County, Indiana.
This farm has a center-pivot irrigation system. The long pipe held up by motorized towers slowly moves through the field in a huge circle, watering the crops as it goes.

Here is the second photograph of an irrigation sprayer in a field in Elkhart County that I made at dawn on Sunday Morning. Made just a few minutes after the first one, it shows how quickly the light changes as the sun rises.

Beautiful photos. Thank you very much for sharing. I think I prefer the second shot of the irrigation sprayer because of the lighting off the crop in the foreground. The Barn off Leo Road is my favourite of this bunch.

Merrill Pharmacy is on Main Street in Mishawaka, Indiana. I photographed it late at night last Saturday.
Merrill used to be a locally owned pharmacy, a rarity in today's world, when the pharmacy business is dominated by huge chains like Walgreens and CVS.
In 2014, owner Marc Merrill decided to retire, so he sold the store to Hometown Pharmacy, a small Michigan-based chain of small-town pharmacies. It still looks very much like a small locally-owned store.

Thanks, ACullen. The light was a little higher in the sky in the second photo of the irrigator. I love to see what difference a few minutes can make when light is rapidly changing, like at sunrise and sunset.

The front window of the former Bernie Sanders For President campaign office in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was in the former Jack and Johnny’s bar storefront on Wells Street.
The window has a handpainted image of Bernie Sanders’ hair and glasses on it. If I had been a little taller, my reflection would have fit it perfectly!

On the south side of Knouse Road, just east of State Road 37 in northeast Allen County, Indiana, is a large expanse of land, landscaped like a park, surrounded by soybean fields. A sign near the road says that the place is called Brooke Acres.
I photographed these trees on the southern edge of the property on a rainy summer morning. This is the first of three photographs that I made there last Wednesday.
