The 2016 Presidential election has been a crazy one. A lot of people are unhappy with both of the major party candidates.
The owner of Southside Auto Sales posted this sign in front of his used car lot on Bluffton Road in the Waynedale area of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
"Willie Nelson For President."
Nelson is an old country music star. I don't know anything about his political beliefs, but he can't be any worse than Trump or Hillary.

This former church building is now home to Vogue Beauty College, a school that trains hairstylists and makeup artists. It is located on the corner of Lincolnway and Spring Street in Mishawaka, Indiana.
In our culture, which is obsessed with appearance and worships beauty, it is fitting that a "beauty college" should be located in a former house of worship!

Charter Oak Church is located on the corner of County Road 500S and County Road 300E in rural Noble County, Indiana.
The place is shown on maps as Green Center, though its not really a town. Just a crossroads with a few houses and a couple of churches.
I photographed the church yesterday morning.

This A-Frame style house is on Lake Everett Drive, near Lake Everett in rural northwest Allen County, Indiana. Lake Everett is the only natural lake in the county.
The dog, a Siberian Husky, was sleeping under a nearby tree when I walked up to the house. When he noticed me, he walked over and asked to be be petted. After I gave him some love, he posed for a picture!
This house's design is unusual. A-Frame houses are uncommon here, and the few I have seen had their entrances on one of the ends of the house, rather than on the side like this one.

The "Spamerican Tour" trailer was giving out free food made with SPAM, the canned pork mystery-meat product, at the 2016 Three Rivers Festival. They even had "Sir Can-A-Lot" the SPAM Knight to attract visitors to the free SPAM.
The Three Rivers Festival takes place for 10 days in July at Headwaters Park in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Sofi Mart is a tiny convenience store with a walk-up window and a drive-thru, located on the south side of Mishawaka Avenue, between Lawrence Street and Elm Street, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Like many convenience stores in the United States, Sofi Mart is owned by an immigrant from India.
I thought the building looked interesting at night. Even in daytime, it is unique. Customers have to walk up to the window to make purchases, or drive up to the drive-thru window on the side of the store. You cannot go in to shop.

Its a different world out here in the heartland, that's for sure. I don't think I could live in such a crowded place. Fort Wayne is a fairly large city with 260,000 people, but we have plenty of space. I have a half-acre yard, and I live in the city!

This political sign was posted on the edge of a cornfield on Anderson Road, a couple miles east of Churubusco, in rural Whitley County, Indiana.
"U Choose. Freedom and Liberty or Socialism."
2016 has been an interesting year for political signs, with the presidential election bringing out a lot of the crazies and fearmongers that lurk around the edges of the American political spectrum.

This house is on the southwest corner of Lincolnway and Delorenzi Avenue in Mishawaka, Indiana. There is a large sign in front of the house that says:
"Silent Majority For Trump 2016."
The sign makes reference to a claim that Trump has made during the campaign. In response to news reports of polls that say that his opponent Hillary Clinton is ahead in the race, Trump has said that there is a "Silent Majority" of Americans who will vote for him on election day.
I've been photographing a lot of houses with political signs in Indiana recently, with the presidential election a little over a week away.
If it seems that I am posting nothing but photo of pro-Trump signs, keep in mind that I am in Indiana. In the city of 260,000 I live in, I have seen a grand total of FOUR signs for Hillary Clinton. Four! Trump signs are EVERYWHERE here. In addition to the standard Trump signs, there also the Hillary For Prison signs that I see a lot of here.
I did shoot some anti-trump signs yesterday that I will post tomorrow, so fear not, I have political photos for everyone.

This house is on the northwest corner of Wells Street and Archer Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There are several anti-Donald Trump signs in front of the house. This one, which has a swastika drawn over Trump's name, says:
"Trump - Sexual Predator."
Wealthy businessman Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for the 2016 Presidential Election, has been accused of sexually assaulting several women and teenage girls. He has also bragged about forcing women to kiss him, and of groping women.
Anti-Trump signs are rare around here. Indiana is solid Trump country.

This handmade Donald Trump sign hangs from a street sign post at the intersection of US-30 and County Road 550W in rural Whitley County, Indiana.
The small American flag on the sign is an actual fabric flag stapled to the sign.

This house is on the northwest corner of Wells Street and Archer Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There are several anti-Donald Trump and anti-Mike Pence signs in front of the house.
- "Lowlife Crooked Trump Sexual Predator. Liar, Fascist, Fraud."
- "Republican Congress is Fired."
- "Education Pence Failure."
- "Tax Dodger Un-American Trump."
A couple of the signs have swastikas drawn on them!

The 2016 Presidential Election has been the craziest one in the last century. Both candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are deeply corrupt and completely amoral. "Hillary For Prison" signs have popped up all over Indiana, and many feel the same about Trump.
This sign sums it up perfectly: "Lock Both Up."
This handmade sign is in the median in the middle of West State Boulevard at the intersection of West State Boulevard and Hillegas Road on the western edge of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The tiny handwriting at the bottom of the sign says: "Paid for by Jeannette Jaquish and not any candidate or candidate's committee."

Local Donald Trump supporter Dan Carroll was often seen protesting against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.
When I made this photograph, he was holding a couple of "Hillary For Prison" signs and handing out "Hillary For Prison 2016" bumper stickers on the Courthouse Green at the corner of Main Street and Clinton Street.
I had photographed him several months earlier walking through the crowds before the Fourth of July fireworks on the Courthouse Green.

This afternoon, I found this laying in the parking lot of the Time Corners Shopping Center on West Jefferson Boulevard in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is the sole of a child's "flip-flop" sandal. The rest of the shoe is missing, as is its mate.

This building was the offices of the Bourbon News-Mirror, a newspaper formerly published in the small town of Bourbon, Indiana.
The small brick and cinderblock storefront is located on the east side of Main Street, between North Street and Park Avenue, in the small Marshall County town.
The inscription above the door says: "News-Mirror 1870-1912." I photographed it last weekend.

Last Thursday, I made another series of abstracted images of rapidly changing cloud formations in the sky. These were made in rural Allen County, just south of the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is the first of them.
