I'm very flattered. I've been contacted by a stranger who would like to buy a couple of photos from my Flickr site, but I don't know quite how it should work. I'm happy to sell them to her - any advice?

nb I don't think she's looking for me to produce a physical print, just as well as she's in the US and I'm in the UK.

I actually had an offer too. The person wanted to post some of my photos on her blog about Disney World. In the end I did not sell any images. I guess there would have to be a first time if you are going to make some $ off your images, but I am pretty humbly convinced this photography thing is a very strong hobby for me. My desire outpaces my talent, so a couple $ here or there would not change my life. I was just very complimented by the offer.

Consider how you want to sell them. By that I mean not just payment, but more importantly what sort of license you want to grant.

I agree with Martin: you should find out what she wants to use them for. If she wants them for commercial use, you'll have to figure out what uses you'll allow, how the fee will be structured, etc.

If she just wants a print to hang on her wall, you can let her download the full-sized image and print them herself. If you don't want to do that, you can print them yourself. I suppose you could also upload them to a local printer in the UK where she can pick them up.

As for how much to charge, I have no idea.
