This poll is to gauge spouse's or significant other's attitudes towards your interest in photography.

I didn't see any poll responses, so I gather you are looking for comments.
My wife supports my interest in photography. She enjoys when she sees a nice snapshot of the grandkids. Being able to browse through a book of family remembrances is a pleasure. If others favorably comment on photos I have taken she basks in that glory. She has no problem with a photo of mine being good enough to hang in the house.
However the process totally escapes her. Why do you want to stop the car for a photo now? Why do you need to bring more than one camera? Just take a picture, you don't need to change lenses! If you wanted the other camera from the car why didn't you bring it in the first place? We're supposed to be on vacation, why in the world would you want to spend a whole day doing nothing but taking pictures?

The poll responses are up now. The first time I tried to post, the responses were too long.

I like the multiple choices option.
Photography is a source of some contention, especially working in the darkroom. She views it as an excuse to ignore her.

My wife supports me in my choice of habits, hobbies, and interests; as I do hers. We're funny like that - a married couple that love each other and support each other completely.

Refuses to suffer fools
When we were first dating, mine went so far as to buy a clean Nikon F so she could come shooting with me!

Most of my 'most used' items were gifts from my wife - mind you, having an Amazon wish list helps. She loves to come with me when I go out to photograph, and she's been my 'assistant' and 'sergeant at arms' when we've done weddings in the past (nobody argues with her when it comes time to get the shot list done).
She likes photography well enough, and she's good enough at it with her Nikon E995 (which was a gift from me and she loves it), but it's not a hobby or interest of hers.
Which is fine - I'm not into baking, herb gardens, knitting, crochet, or cross-stitch. We agree on bread-making - we both like that just fine.

My significant other takes great shots with her digicam TZ15 (TZ5). Has a good eye and seriously challenges my photographic endeavours. My forte is knowing what a good bargain in camera gear is and being able to obtain it at a good price. I have had perhaps more practice doing this than actually taking photos! I suspect I am not alone in this respect....

My wife enjoys photgraphy almost as much as I do.More on the digital side but she does pick up the 35mm SLR loaded with slide film once in awhile.

I'm currently in this state of mind. However my ex girlfriend was also a photographer who I met at photography school, so you could say she was pretty supportive.

Hates that she can't set anything anywhere since every surface in my house is holding camera gear already. Hates that I'm a hoarder moreso than only photography.

I've never been married, but I would never date a woman who gave me trouble about it. Life's too short to deal with such conflicts. My son's mom and the girl I am with now are both photographers. That made things much easier.

My spouse is very supportive, but also wonders why I need more than one camera. Sometimes I wonder too! In the end, I would probably enjoy spending more time taking photographs (and developing my photographic skill/style/vision/etc.) than nursing my growing case of GAS.

My wife is a prolific picture taker. Carries her camera everywhere just like me. She has a good eye, better than mine in some ways. But she is not one for technical details always asks me about exposure compensation when shooting in snow etc even though I have told her the same thing a hundred times before. She used to have a nice Kyocera point and shoot but has been using a digicam for many years now.

They're usually more supportive of multiple cameras than multiple girlfriends/wives/partners/whatever.

My wife seriously dislikes holidays and trips that have a touristy flavour to them. As my photography tends to get a long way off the beaten track, she is happy to accompany me when not work related travel. As well she like my work...

My wife is very supportive. Specially if I don't spend too much time, money or space on photography.
