i'll be asking soon...

photographically speaking, do you have a new year's resolution?

what is it?

soon, i'll be starting a thread, a sticky thread, to ask this question and then we can take a look next christmas time and see who followed through with it.

i have a few ideas but i need to refine them a bit before i post them.

so start thinking of yours and if you already have one, then hold tight till the thread comes.

I'm sure this will be an oft repeated one ... "To use my film cameras more and my digitals less!" :)

To build my best darkroom yet in my soon to be new house. Oh...and to not go broke because of the soon to be new house.

Shoot more film. Not that I've stopped, just I need to try and shoot more. It's to easy to pick up the digi toy.

My New Year's resolution is to work with my photography every day. I will shoot, process, or print and work my portfolio and skills every day.

Although not as ambitious as many others here, my new years resolution would be to shoot more and more often.

With a bit of luck I will have darkroom access at least once a week not to far from the office, that should help! :)

Resolutions... considering I blew the "Will buy a Minolta 9000, Canon A1 and Canon T90" when I got the Leica... ... here goes.

Will build/throw-together a darkroom. Will get a lens for the Leica. Will invest time and money (and patience) in learning how to develop and print films.

Oh, and... will show results of self-developed films here.

1. Sell what I'm not using to someone who will use it

2. Finish rebuilding the darkroom - labs just don't do the same job

3. save for and buy a negative scanner so I can post my pics more easily

1- Finaly setup a full dark room (with no plastic holders or botles) developing and printing (until A3, 35mm and 120mm )

2 - Finaly get normal chemical stock, try different chemicals, X-tol, DD-X, learn how to not sctrach negatives, how to not overdevelope them, also want to try slow BW films

3 - Get used to focusing tab, use more 28mm asph just to get used to it, I want 35mm lux asph :p

4 - Buy mechanical camera, Leica MP (I got scared, I feel if I don`t buy it next year there will be no left) :D

5 - Get a slide projector to view beauty slides, invite some friends, I heard it is amazing looking at slides from projector (never have)

6 - Setup a proper web site, design a logo for myself, to a proper database, get rid of PC and get Imac (I am tired of re installing windows and loosing some files)

7 - Last and least imporatante :D take some photos (travel more, brazil, mexico? ) :D
