Folks might have a hard time sticking to the OP's suggestion because it's not possible to explain "street photography" with just one photograph!
Street photography for any one photographer can include stories, connection between camera and subject in some way (such as eye contact/recognition), decisive moments, humour, dogs, plays of light etc and sometimes combinations of any of these. I honestly can't think of a single photograph I've taken that explains street photography, all by itself. Any one photograph would be inadequate...
Perhaps the OP could have added "and why".

And here's another constructive link to today's Washington Post introduction of Indian amateur street photographer Swarat Ghosh. The one with the guy wrapped in the plastic bag is especially strong. Perhaps this level of photography is aspirational for many of us, but on occasion we should consider aspiring to more.

My own photos are mediocre. But the thread did not ask for my own photos, just photos. Two thoughtful essays, with lots of pictures, should be quite rewarding.
