I just love the size, weight and the focus tab on this little lens. It speaks to me. I am already looking at prices.
Anyone has this lens or has used it? How do results compare to the usual suspects in the 50mm range, zeiss, Voightlander and summicrons?

For years, I didn't want Summarit-M serie lenses.
Price took me by surprise about two years ago for one Summarit-M 2.5/50mm.
Since then, after using it a while, I sold some of my 50mm M mount lenses like the compact/collapsible Elmar-M 2.8/50 and Summilux-M asph. !

Just to say that this very compact and light Summarit-M 50mm is my favorite 50mm.
After that I chased for other Summarit-M f/2.5 for "attractive prices "...
Now I'm proud owner/user of three of "old f/2.5 " (35 plus 50 and 75mm).

They work really nicely (nice to use and excellent results) with film M or sensor M.

Thanks. I was worried lens performance would not be on par w/ Summicrons. I do prefer the size and focus tab on the summarit to the old summicron DR l tried which felt a bit uncooperative to work with.
