Looking through this thread, the results seem very similar to those from my 35/2 Nikkor AI, which is one of my favorite lens renderings.

Hi Gary,
I got a good deal on a used one last year and bought it for my father to replace an old compact.

She likes the iPhone (or what it is) more than a book, like all modern children.
Lovely work Giulio!

Nice works Giulio,
I currently purchased (again) a Summaron, I did a quick test to compare it with my 35/2 IV. Both below were shot at f/2.8. Really difficult to distinguish

Personally, I prefer the second shot, though I don't know if it's the Summaron. It curtainly looks sharper and has more shadow detail, but that could be the printing/scanning. I think that both pictures could benefit from deeper blacks.

Looking forward to see more work with the Summaron Trung!
Still my fave walkaround lens. And at 2.8 I found it different enough compared to my other 2 35s (lux pre and cron asph).

PS: I can't remember which f-stop I use here

I agree the second one looks just a bit sharper. I see nothing wrong with the tonality, though. They are both great in that respect!

Maybe just my monitor. I could not see a zone 0. Not that's mandatory either. I just like an "achoring black".
