just wanted to say thanks to RFF member 'sfb dot com' (Andy) whom found the Ziess dark yellow and UV filters along with Ziess shade in little store near him in England for what i think is a bargin price (only 2 pound). and offered them here. so cheers and thanks mate for sending them on down under! its just what i needed and perfectly suited for my S/Ikonta 532/16. the UV filter is one of the slightly darker type and is ideal for sunny conditions down here in Australia and just helps a touch to bring out that little bit of contrast w/B&W and of course the yellow is one of the more usefull filters all round

below are a couple of snaps with the shade and filter sitting on a brass period tripod. the only thing left for me to do with this camera is free up/lube the rangefinder dial, which i think shouldn't be too hard (fingers crossed). as it is just too uncomfortable/stiff to use the way it is. otherwise this is a very fine camera. those of you who are familar with them 'are the built like a tank or what!!!

pics taken with a crappy 2meg canon thats so old i cant remember..sheeze i hate that thing...one day i'm gona get me a new one!

Wow! They look mighty fine indeed on your super Ikonta, and I'm glad they've found a good home. It's amazing what you can find in these 'junk' shops sometimes. On a similar note, I just bought a Nikon FM with duff seals at a bargain price from a guy I started corresponding with via an ad on Ebay for an EM I was selling. Nice to be able to work this way with people rather than faceless organisations.

All the best

Andy
