Take a look at the NEW RFF Gallery

You dont need that one in your camera list. The nex6 is digital and thus a file with EXIF data will pick it up. The my cameras is really for film cameras or files that do not contain exif data.

Shouldn't this work for lenses too, if present in EXIF data?

Makes sense, but why are there other digital cameras on the list (NEX 3,5,7, etc...). Just curious.... I realize it's be a lot of work to keep up to date with all the new digicams.

apparently no uploads yet with an nex6. once that happens, it will be added to the list at midnight

the way lenses get added will change.

Has the old gallery vanished today?
I was going to somehow migrate my Album of best ten images to the new gallery.

Thanks for getting back to us, Jorge, I'm sure you guys are busy.

Wouldn't it make sense for the lens database to be based/built on user submissions, too, like the camera database? After all, there are a lot more lenses out there than cameras.

Without quoting all the above.

The database of lenses is managed by a site admin. I know Stephen is working on a comprehensive list which will be used eventually.

Oh, yeah, now I begin to see the navigation bar being all fudged-up when looking into a thread...there's a runaway "<" somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the entry of "New Gallery" into the header code, because that's what's evidently different.

I've a bit bit of time playing with new gallery and I've found it to be a big improvement. The larger file size is a great new feature, I've still got to get used to the various camera, Lens, Film options - they feel very fiddly at the moment and no option for Developer ?

A real plus for RFF I think

Leica digital can provide false EXIF lens data, if the user forgot to manually code the lens s/he used or especially if his/her coding was a close Leica approximation of the Zeiss/VC or othe non-Leica equivalent.

The Old Gallery will be taken off line in 48 hrs

Disk space requirements make two running galleries something we can't afford.

With very few glitch exceptions, all the pics from the old gallery were transferred to the new.

So, if you need something from the old gallery, take a look and get it now.
old gallery located at http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/

It will be taken off line the evening of January 17th, West coast time USA.

Great achievement overall. Great after sales service from MP guy, who also takes damn good pictures. Comments have a tiny avatar, like moving from LP to CD: some will want to modify their avatar maybe. The larger files are so much better, as are the thumbnails. I haven't tried it on my big screen, but previously that was a disappointing way to look at the Gallery. It's good on the iPad.

I will see what I can do about albums. I should be able to its just getting around to it.
