I've recently come into possession of a Canon VT (the original). Looking through these pages, I see little to no love for this particular rangefinder.

I'm having trouble finding much user opinions on this camera.

It came with a 50mm Summicron, but it has lots of cleaning marks on it. I'm thinking of buying another lens, but I'm broke as a joke (camera was part of a trade). I'm thinking about possibly buying an Industar or something. Can someone recommend some glass to me that's super cheap? Good contrast and no larger than 50mm are preferences.

Other than that, this is a Canon VT love thread.

Love the VT's. The trigger wind is a joy to use for quick street action IMO. According to P. Decherts book they were Canon's response to the M3.

I have one, in great shape- the trigger wind takes some mental "gear-shifting" to use. I end up using the Canon P more often. I also have a Canon VI-T, which has a 1x finder for 50mm.

But I would not be able to let the V-T go- the finder is much too nice.
