Thanks for the kind words guys. Im going to repost the first one's with the WM ( don't even want to say/write the word🙄) when I/Kat get a chance. For now, Im off to burn some film
Gregory, I stayed out of the fracas regarding the "WM", but I just wanted to say that I applaud your patience, understanding, and good humor. It could easily have gotten out of control, and I'm glad that cooler heads prevailed in the end 🙂.
Your images are really nice. I enjoyed viewing them (without the WM). Thanks for sharing them.
Friend Kat here. Until I pick up the fundamentals in Photoshop, seems like a better idea to go without a watermark. So in that spirit, here are the earlier photos, now gloriously unencumbered.
Regards, Kat

Thanks for the kind words about my photos. The sheep and the young boy was my youngest son and was taken in the new supermall in Alberta, "CrossIron Mills." The sheep was not real. Very cute nonetheless. The photo of the young lady with the halo was taken in the food court.

Taken with the M3 and the 50 1.0 Noctilux at 1/125 second @ f1.0 EKtar 100
i know 100 ISO indoors😀. I just picked up a B+W ND filter for the 50 1.0 Noctilux so I can use it in daylight wide open in good light at 1/1000 second. I was using a 60 polarizer but the B+W N.D cuts three stops instead of two.
Gregory, this is a fantastic work, thank you for sharing.
You are super good, gear is top-notch, but that northern light is just plain wonderful. I am green of envy!
Question: why did you choose to go with the C41 on B&W on few cases?
Taken with an M3 and 35 1.4 Summilux 1/60 second @ F 1.4 XP2
Yes, the light is wonderful in Alberta this time of year. It makes up for having to freeze your fingers loading film, hanging on to chrome M Leicas. Not that I'm complaining. I never did like shooting with gloves on. As far as the XP2, I just like it. Heck I liked XP1😉. Although I'm set up for souping my own negs, it's easier to run down to Superstore and drop the film off and have them do a CD for $3.99. When I get motivated I'm going to make some wet prints as well as rescanning then with my Nikon Coolscan 5000. I still think there is nothing like silver prints from real B+W film but sometimes compromises need to be made.
I've got a couple of boxes of Tri-X/Plus X (50 rolls) just waiting for me to get back into the dark room. I wanted to get up to speed on the whole M system before I get into doing real B+W. There is a learning curve to be sure, going from Nikon F3/D3 to M3/M6. It's like starting over in many regards - from focusing to loading film, especially with the M3😱, and then estimating coverage with lenses like the 35 1.4 on the M3 and of course the 21 F4 and 15 Voitlander on the M3/M6. Personally, I love the challenge of the Leica M system. I'm still trying to trade my Canon 5D2 (which I got to shoot video🙄) for an MP/M7/M8.
