This thread (the parts I read) is really quite hilarious: how it fluctuated from everyone ganging up on NikorAIS to everyone praising him... perfectly illustrates the power of the majority.
As for your photos NikkorAIS, I think some are VERY good but you are in desperate need of a different digital workflow. The over-sharpened look to the images exaggerate the already over-processed look to some of your shots that is usually typical of a digital shooter getting (back) into film. You do however have a keen eye and frame photos quite well.
Maybe this is just my film snobishness and sometimes unyielding preference for realistic looking images coming out... who knows

Thanks for the comments, I'll just have to step up my game. I appreciate the feedback. I really do. As far as the digital workflow goes, I agree. It's my weak link in the image chain. Not so much with my work with the D3 but the scanned-film thing to digital. I came from shooting film/chromes darkroom ... OO, for the last 20 years and only started shooting digital the last three with the Nikon D2H, D3. Post-processing is a huge part of the modern photographic process. I'm much better at burning/dodging of my black and white darkroom. I agree the scans are ****. Good thing I've got the negs and can make real prints on paper to hang on people's walls.

You know, the thing is, I'm not going to my archive of thousands of images for this thread. I'm shooting with my (new to me) Leica Ms and trying to get decisive moments from recent shooting. If others have some really strong images I would love to see them. Especially ones taken in the last couple of days like mine. Like I said, I will try to step up my game. Perhaps I'll leave my Nikon at home tomorrow and go all M. And it's just my opinion but the truck with balls and this image are hardly weak. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My comment about the pictures on the walls is intended to give insight to my end use which is "not" a scanned neg from Superstore posted in low res on the Net.
