The Hassy' Posse...

Finally got some negs developed from the 500C w/ 80 Planar (chrome). Taken w/ a yellow filter and Tri-X shot at 400. The second shot is a bit of a miracle. I'd gone into a coffeehouse to cool off and saw this huge coffee machine of some sort sitting there. Had one shot left, so I took a reading, set the shutter, and hand held the shot in rather low light. Was feeling rather smug about the shot when I realized I had opened the aperture up, but for some reason the speed was about 5 stops too slow. The neg is so overexposed that it looks almost blank, w/ just an outline of the machine. Looks more like a pencil drawing. Somehow I was able to get the shot you see out of it. Film rules!

Hi !

Got my Hassy 500 few month ago but got into some kind of love/hate relationship with it since then. I'm starting to like shooting the blad and in fact I love. That was soooo different than the M system i'm used to. Lenses are slow, you can't really go under 1/100, dof could really fall like a guillotine*at 2.8 but now i guess it's fine.

Later guys !
