Definitely agree with you about underexposure and loss of shadow detail... indeed that is the very definition of underexposure. 🙂 I like to be a little generous with my exposures... maybe 2/3 of a stop. 😀

I think that modern film has been designed to work with basic point and shoot cameras. The €25 sort. As these cameras go out of production and the only film customers are people like us I think we'll see a different sort of film emerge.
