@Ebertoni
Looks like the crap I got from silverfast.
After vuescan I gave silverfast 8 Ai a try, it installed from downloaded trial, I registered it.
The previews worked ok, and I scanned at 2060ppi. This worked fine. Then tried 5300ppi, worked OK. Then I turned on iSRD (dust removal) and weird things began to happen.
The program would crash or never save the file.
I tried the Multi exposure and this when it really started to be weird. While scanning the program crashed, I restarted it and removed the frame holder with eject button on scanner. The silverfast was started but it was scanning nonsense the preview and scan showed red garbage while scanning, colorful stripes of pixels etc.
I began to think the scanner is shot, but after rebooting the PC and unplugging the scanner, even more weird things happened on my next try of silverfast like trying to eject the holder trough the back and hanging with motor whirling sounds etc. I had to remove the holder myself trough the back when I turned off the scanner (front of holder was inside the scanner).
Then once while inserting holder to scan in silverfast somehow the scanner made different noise when pulling the holder, maybe it got stuck (this was after the scanner guides the holder by itself so user error excluded) etc. Never happened with vuescan. This is when I decided to uninstall this CRAP SILVERFAST.
I confirmed by rescanning USAF target that everything still works afterwards with vuescan. Maybe this will help someone to avoid this.

I also noticed that motor sounds different when using vuescan, they are more neutral, less vibration and I like it. The silverfast was SO BAD the holder would resonate at some point.

Now this is strange if I scan with 64bit RGBI I get stripes in my images :/
They are also visible in IR channel

Hmm, if you increase the exposure even my first posted image has stripes. Does this mean I have a defective unit and should contact the seller for replacement?
I do have a week left for money back no questions asked, should I contact the seller or Plustek somehow or can this be fixed?
I expect the scanner to work like kanzlr has posted velvia image no stripes whatsoever.
Please check your IR channel for stripes (curves helps to see them better). I would be thankful for any suggestions.

Which temperature do you have in your room?
I'm starting to believe it could be a temperature related issue.

19deg C, I wrote to markdruziak@plustek.com and gave him links to photos I posted here:
Since I can return the scanner for free, i will do so.
But where from I can buy a working scanner?
I think there is a problem with your scanner and it needs to be replaced. You have two choices:
1. Contact Plustek support and arrange a scanner exchange? If you are in the US or Canada you can call 714-670-7713 and ask for support. Otherwise you can go to Plustek.com> Support> Technical Support
2. You can return the scanner to the retailer.
Since I can return the scanner for free, i will do so.

@Ebertoni
Is your scanner under warranty? I think this could simply be like data cable got dislodged during transit etc. But the scanner has "warranty void sticker" so I can't look inside.
Perhaps your scanner is out of warranty so you could open it and check the cables to the CCD sensor, and all others?

The scandig has this posted in their shop about Plustek Opticfilm 120:
"Since we and lots of our customers had many problems with this scanner, we have removed this device from our assortment."
And they try to sell the "Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED" for 5999EUR ????
Who the heck would spend that much money on an old scanner?

scandig also posts scanner reviews (filmscannerinfo) and there are a few things wrong about their Plustek 120 review, especially scanning speed. I sent them a few emails with times I recorded (90% faster), and that it is mostly a silverfast issue. But they did not even reply. No wonder, they want to sell overpriced Coolscans and Silverfast for huge sums.

It's also strange how Plustek sells the opticfilm 120 on their site for 1999Eur, when online it's ~1800Eur, I mean as manufacturer they could offer it cheaper and a customer would be sure they get latest greatest scanner.
But no they even choose to sell to Germany only. That means international orders are not allowed. Strange.
Since companies that sells Plustek needs to profit I wonder what the real price is.

If you look at www.jacob-computer.de - the plustek is offered cheaper as "B-ware" - package that was opened. So I think I'm not the only one that has problems with Plustek OpticFilm 120 scanner.
The voelkner.de should have free parcel pickup if it's more than 40eur:
But instead they said they will refund the shipping cost and I should send the package myself. Well the package was sent using courier TNT, with tracking link etc.
The information (including original invoice, bank details, refund request, and shipping invoice) was included with the parcel and sent to voelkner.de by email.
After short while they write:
I thought they said ship it to them myself, what do they expect? 2000Eur parcel shipped by post without tracking etc. ??? But lets not jump to conclusions just yet.

Mark Druziak, responded to email that
I'll post update on my problem with the scanner refund, when I'll get refund I really don't know what to do risk again (possible if I get shipping refunded also) or leave it as is. For a reputable company I expected free hassle free return, and for reputable manufacturer I expected the same. Seems I was wrong in both cases.
In honesty, the OpticFilm 120 has been a very reliable scanner. I am in the US and we have a failure rate less than 1%.

I wonder if any one of you can look inside (flip the front loading tray cover) your opticfilm 120 and see how many dust partickes are there, especially if you bought "new scanner" that's just out of the box.
Either the Plustek got serious quality control problems, no quality control or I was not sold a new scanner to begin with.

my sentiments exactly!!
they did not reply to my emails, too.
it seems to me that they are not very happy about a scanner which could be on the same level than the CS9000.
my OF 120 has at least the same resolution as the coolscan 9000.
i did a directly comparison.
my scanning-times at very high resolutions are in usual time range, but "processing" (SF) takes some time.
maybe the performance of my laptop is not high enough? any suggestions? (8GB built in Ram)

The operation of scanner should be timed in two ways, scanning time, processing time. Else the PC will always impact the true time it takes to scan.
Vuescan works way faster I did not time it but I bet I can scan like 3x 10600dpi in time it takes 1 silverfast + iSRD or 1 silverfast + ME.

@James1
The raw files obviously have linear gamma, so could you share your workflow in creating the ICC profile?
Did you scan the IT8 with 48bit Vuescan to RAW TIFF file, then you create profile that you apply before using CF Colorperfect?
Or you create the profile from processed scan with CF Colorperfect? And the workflow is to convert the photo using CF Colorperfect then
apply profile, then use the CF Colorperfect again?
"Scanner was profiled with the supplied IT8 target. I used a modified version of the workflow here to output a RAW file from Vuescan, then I inverted in ColorPerfect and colour corrected in Photoline."
