I too was worried when I started reading this. I don`t post here often(although read every night) so maybe not as close as some of you chaps but I always liked Mr Jenkins, his photos and what he had to say. Can`t agree all the time ,of course, but he was always interestng I thought. Sorry that he has felt that he needed to move on.

nice one, andrew! very ominous, film-noir look ... paranoia ... "what's that noise? who's there????" ... "where did I put my tinfoil hat????"
That's how I'm livin'.
I've probably posted this before. Taken somewhere above the Atlantic.

Re Richard, I enjoyed some of his contributions, but I find it hard to get upset when a grown man storms off an internet forum. If he wants to come back, he will.

In my opinion the title of this discussion is somewhat unfortunate.
Pitxu is one of the good guys: he is a good photographer and, yes, he actually has opinions.
Don't just think of his ever-changing avatar and what he writes.
Go and look at his photos, you'll enjoy them.

I agree. He's a good guy.
I'm sure that this thread was meant to be a tribute to Pitxu.

Let's celebrate with a round of Pitu, the near-namesake of our colleague.
Actually, your choice-- Pitu or Ypioca*.
*brand names of Cachaca, Brazilian liquor made from sugar cane, and the key ingredient in the Caipirinha.

The best camera is one that still works!
Well ... this a nice start to my day which was threatening to be unpleasant with a predicted max temperature of 36deg C.
All's well now because this is such a cool thing to happen!
