Thanks, In the interest of fairness a couple of comments about the 'busted' photo. The Park Police were very poilite. There was a third mounted policewoman behind me. She also politely told me that I was quite close enough to the action and I did not need to get closer. However, while she was watching me a rather large crowd formed, the girls mother showed up and they packed up and left. All very peaceful. Most of the crowd were petting the horses and asking the officers horse related questions.
Most of the horses they use are rehabilitated rescues, not war horses. They also know cameras. When they see a lens pointed in their general direction the ears go up and they start to pose (the horses, not the police officers )
