L-O-V-E-D reading this. At first with dismay until I noticed how old the dates were on page 1, but then the revival... yeah, I agree with Skiff here, that the old Mark Twain line on news of Leica's death... blah blah blah.
As to the evangelism of Leica film M's... I'm one for whom that's absolutely real. I went with an M4-2 then added an M6-TTL film and now have a platform of lenses, too. Love these cameras! They re-ignited my love of photography, darkroom, and the whole thing. Might one day have a digital M... but the next "add" in fact became Medium Format. Leica nails so many things right, but the next step up to me seems to have been a side step into MF where it forces you to man-up and get it right. None of this would have happened in my case without Zeiss lenses that made a Leica film M possible.
